Date and Time: Sunday, July 14, 2013: 9:00 for 67, 45, 31, and 25 miles

What to expect: The rides go through the scenic farm country of southern New Hampshire. The terrain is rolling hills with old barns, scenic vistas, and lots of quiet roads. All the loops go by historic Kingston NH common. The 3 longer loops pass the bandstand in downtown Exeter, the 45 adds picturesque Newfields, and the long loop on its way around Great Bay hits Newmarket, and the lively college town of Durham.

  • Please pencil in a slight change on the 31, 46 and 67 mile cue sheets: Because of a minor detour due to road construction, this year the arrowed route will turn right on North Street instead of Osgood Street at mile 23 for the 31 mile version /  mile 37 for the 46 mile version /  mile 59 for the 67 mile version.  In approximately one mile the routes  turn left on Rt. 150 and rejoin the earlier version.  The RideWithGPS maps and GPX files follow the detour.
  • Exeter start option: An optional start location for this ride is Exeter NH. It deletes the first 20 and last 10 miles of the ride from the Amesbury start.  Doing the Great Bay ride from Exeter creates an opportunity for those who do not wish to ride the full route from Amesbury.  From Exeter Center the 67 mile ride becomes a beautiful 38 mile route. If you do the 46 mile route and return to Exeter it will only be 16 miles. Exeter Start: Me & Ollie's Cafe at the intersection of Routes 108, 111, and 27(Water Street) in the center of Exeter, NH. Use available street parking and please do not park at the Cafe lot as it is too small and for customers only.  Google map to start location ). Instructions: Begin your ride on Water Street (Me and Ollie's) in Exeter (mile 19.8 for the 46 or 67 mile routes) continuing to the Swasey Parkway. Make sure to continue into Exeter at the end of the ride instead following the arrows left onto Drinkwater Road. Cue sheets and other information for the Exeter start are in the lower row of the table below.
