If you are a Gmail user and if your incoming messages from nsc@nscyc.org are going to your spam folder, the following adjustment to the Gmail email filter may fix the problem. Bear in mind the fix is only for incoming mail that is addressed to nsc@nscys.org, e.g, NSC ride notifications.

  • Go to Settings in Gmail (the Gear Wheel in the upper right corner).
  • Select See All Settings
  • Select Filters and Blocked Addresses (located among the options at the top of the page)
  • Select Create a New Filter
  • Add "nsc@nscyc.org" to the TO: line
  • Select Create Filter
  • Click on check box for "Never send it to Spam"
  • Select Create Filter

All incoming mail sent to "nsc@nscys.org" will go to the inbox and not to spam.

While this fix is for the Gmail email client, it should, in principle, be possible to do something similar with any major email client.

Always consult the NSC Calendar of Rides for last minutes updates and cancellations.
