Please register for the NSC Ride leader training by April 29 at 11 am
North Shore Cyclists is pleased to offer a ride leader training session on April 29 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at American Flatbread in Georgetown. Attendees please register here by April 29.
The training session will be preceded by a mixer from 1:00-1:30 p.m during which attendees can meet each other and enjoy a beverage and/or lunch snack (not provided by NSC). Time for questions and discussion will be provided from 3:30 to 4:00, at the end of the program.
This training program aims to promote a consistent culture of ride leadership and rider safety across all NSC sponsored rides. It is an opportunity for club members who want to become ride leaders to learn the process and for current ride leaders to refresh their knowledge.
The training session will cover:
· NSC Ride Culture
· Ride leader role before, during, and after rides
· Safety considerations and club insurance
· Relevant traffic laws
· Reviewing routes
· Pre- and In-ride communications
· Useful skills and supplies for leading rides
