Have you been wondering about what gravel riding is like and whether it is for you? The NSC Gravel Committee will host a free Introduction to Gravel Riding on Saturday, April 26, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Greenbelt's Vineyard Hill Reservation on Asbury St. in South Hamilton.

Led by Tom Evers, a long-time all around cyclist, this introduction is aimed at beginning gravel riders, those curious to start gravel riding and those with only a few gravel rides so far and wanting to improve their abilities.

Participants will learn about preparing for a gravel ride, the types of bikes suitable, and appropriate tires and tire pressures. Participants will also learn and practice some key skills aimed at making riders more confident and comfortable. The session will conclude with a short ride on some of the trails in the Vineyard Hill Reservation and Bradley Palmer State Park.

All kinds of bikes are welcome. 32 mm wide or wider tires will be more suitable for this activity.

Registration is limited to 15 persons.
