The Bruce Freeman Rail Trail is a 20-mile paved trail running from Lowell to Sudbury where it intersects a newly opened section of the Mass Central Rail Trail. The BFRT is very scenic and mostly wooded with numerous ponds, wetlands and historical displays.
This is a leisurely ride due to the presence of pedestrians, birdwatchers and slower riders. Two maps are offered for 30- and 40-mile options, but you can turn around anywhere you want. We'll meet by the kiosk before starting out.
