This Wednesday we will dedicate the FIFTH Anniversary of the Wednesday Lunch Ride to Lenny Ortins.
On April 17, 2019 Lenny and eleven other fine folks listed below joined at Hammatt Street parking lot in Ipswich and rode the 37.4 mile Best of Ipswich ride. As they say, the rest is history.
I hope you can join us this Wednesday at Hammatt for the 32.4 mile Ipswich/Topsfield Figure 8 route created a few years ago for the winter riding season. Compared to 2019 the route is 5 miles shorter because we're all five years older and one of us is 5 pounds heavier.
9:50 kicks off the safety and route speech. We'll ride through Ipswich, Topsfield, Boxford but on some of the best roads. If you've not ridden this route or with the Wednesday bunch then you owe yourself a day off to join.
With Lenny's passing, the ride will be dedicated to him. A few words will be said before the ride. A little extra pre-ride time is the least we can do. And without Lenny pulling a slightly slower pace can be expected.
