Ride consists of paved roads, rail trails, gravel roads, etc. A road bike with 32 - 35 mm tires will work though it will be challenging at times. A cyclocross bike is best. A mountain bike would be overkill as there will be a fair amount of paved roads. Expect about a 3 hour ride time. Rain will cancel the ride.

There are restrooms at the start.

Park at the far end of the lot near the red building and post office.  Do not park in the main lot - park away from shops or across the street by the rail trail.  Topsfield Plaza is behind Cumberland Farms.  Additional parking is usually available in the MassDOT Park and Ride lot across the street.
