This week we ride familiar roads around the North Shore, circling through Topsfield, Boxford, Ipswich, Hamilton and Wenham. View farmlands and ponds with stretches of long flats with a few hills sprinkled in.
Two routes are offered: a short route of 28 miles that cuts off Ipswich and carries along Asbury Street by Bradley Palmer SP heading out of Topsfield; and a longer 38-mile route that follows Linebrook Rd into Ipswich. The route split occurs at about mile 9 in Boxford.
For the long route, you can stop for refreshments at Marini Farm near mile 23.5 on Linebrook, or a little further down the road in Ipswich where there are a few break options. The short route has fewer options en route, but there is a Dunkin (isn’t there always?) as you cross Route 1 at mile 16.
