The Club's Ride Coordinator regularly sends out calls for ride leaders. If you are interested in leading either a recurring weekday ride or a Sunday ride you can respond to the email or send an email to rides@nscyc.org proposing a date and any modifications or additions you wish to make to the route. There are a large number of rides to choose from on the website's Ride Master List. The Ride Coordinator will enter the ride into the database and ask the leader to check the information.
Notes:
- Ride leaders must be current Club members.
- RWGPS route #'s are at the end of the URL. For Example https://ridewithgps.com/routes/12210845 is ride number 12210845 the 26 mile Applecrest route.
RWGPS route #'s are used to get distance and elevation data from RWGPS and create links to a map, GPX file, and cue sheet. Do not create a cue sheet yourself. Use the RWGPS cue sheets, and always review the cues for accuracy / inaccuracies.
Information needed for the Ride Page
While the rides coordinator will assist you, the Ride Leaders are responsible for the following ride page content being accurate
- Ride name
- Date and time
- Starting location
- Ride leader name
- Ride description - the basic information plus your own personal touch to promote your ride
- RideWithGPS route #'s - all routes must be in the NSC RWGPS route file - not in personal accounts
